Join Our Team as a Guest Service Agent: Overnight

We're a boutique hotel that believes in creating a culture that reflects the diversity of our guests. We're looking for a Guest Service Agent to join our team on an overnight shift.

About the Role

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, including registration and check-out, PBX operations, and mail and message service. You'll be the face of our hotel, and we're looking for someone who can create a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review arrivals and note special requests, blocking rooms as needed
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Complete all items on the overnight checklist by the end of shift
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, and special requests
  • Follow established key control policy and ensure proper credit policies are followed
  • Submit lost and found articles with a completed report
  • Familiarize yourself with fire and emergency procedures
  • Open, secure, and balance the daily shift bank, including counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Verify credit limit report and monitor room availability throughout the shift
  • Review daily selling status of the hotel using yield management system
  • Attend department meeting once a month
  • Communicate with other departments via telephone and/or radio
What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone with previous experience in a front desk or customer-facing role. A high school diploma or general education degree is required, and knowledge of the immediate area, services, attractions, and events is a plus. You should be able to work well under pressure, taking care of many arrivals and departures within a short period of time.
