Position Summary

RAM Mounts is in search of a proficient and committed IT Support Technician to enhance our IT department. The ideal candidate will be tasked with delivering technical assistance to users, ensuring optimal performance of desktop and laptop systems, and troubleshooting any technical challenges that may occur. This position demands exceptional problem-solving capabilities, effective communication skills, and a strong focus on customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Assistance: Deliver prompt and effective technical support to users for hardware, software, and network-related inquiries.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical problems associated with desktop and laptop computers, printers, mobile devices, and additional peripherals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow IT team members and other departments to tackle technical challenges and enhance overall IT service quality.
  • Installation and Configuration: Set up, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • User Support: Guide users in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Provide insights on software usage and best practices.
  • System Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on computer systems and networks, including software updates, patches, and backups.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of all support requests, troubleshooting actions, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
  • Asset Management: Monitor IT assets, including hardware and software inventory, ensuring proper management and upkeep.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Expertise in Windows operating systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of desktop support functions and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 and other standard software applications.
  • Experience with remote desktop tools and helpdesk ticketing systems.
  • Understanding of Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Experience in running network cables, installing wall jacks, and setting up switches/routers.
  • Proficient in diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading user hardware.
  • CompTIA A+ Certification.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma is mandatory.
  • A degree from a 2 or 4-year accredited institution is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and transport computer equipment as necessary.
  • May require occasional after-hours or weekend work for maintenance or emergencies.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation is essential.

Compensation: $34.00 per hour
