Position Overview:

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to volunteers assisting in the department.
  • Manage resources effectively within the assigned clinical area.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in departmental committees and initiatives aimed at professional development.
  • Contribute to evidence-based practice improvements and support departmental growth.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, Psychology, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related field. Completion of a Child Life internship is required, or candidates must be able to complete it within a specified timeframe. A minimum of two years of experience working with children in a healthcare environment is preferred. Certification in Child Life or Therapeutic Recreation is also required within a year of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certification in Child Life and/or Therapeutic Recreation.
  • Experience as a Child Life Specialist or Recreation Therapist.
