Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Electrical Project Management Support Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting the Project Manager with the delivery of various electrical construction and service projects. The ideal candidate will possess a foundational knowledge of electrical construction, demonstrate adaptability to evolving circumstances, and exhibit excellent communication abilities.

This role reports directly to the regional service manager and receives daily guidance from the Project Manager overseeing the assigned project or service task. The Project Manager is committed to mentoring and developing the skills of the Electrical Project Management Support Specialist throughout their tenure.

Electrical Project Management Support Specialists will occasionally work on-site at the construction locations or service projects assigned to them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in various project elements, including cost management, progress monitoring, quality assurance/control, requests for information (RFIs), and submittals.
  • Contribute to and provide insights on: material takeoffs, budgeting, procurement processes, pull planning, scheduling, and production tracking.
  • Manage and implement progress tracking of installed quantities under the direction of the Project Manager and project team.
  • Oversee the implementation of Amteck's quality assurance/control documentation with support from the project team, ensuring compliance with Amteck's QA/QC standards.
  • Compile closeout documentation in accordance with Amteck's project closeout procedures.
  • Manage the submission and response process for RFIs.
  • Create and submit necessary submittals while ensuring cross-referencing against all project documentation.
  • Assemble and maintain comprehensive project work completion lists and punch lists.
  • Participate in kickoff meetings, on-site discussions, and office meetings.
  • Aid the Project Manager in bid analysis and issue identification.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and implement prefabrication solutions.
  • Engage in pull planning scheduling sessions and integrate planning into the overall project timeline.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure project alignment.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in assistant project management within electrical construction, industrial, or commercial sectors, or a bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of Electrical Project Management, National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA regulations, and safety practices.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet project demands.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, and industry-specific tools.
  • Capable of utilizing internet and web-based resources efficiently.
