The Electrical Operations Manager is responsible for supervising the implementation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and public sectors, adhering to project plans, specifications, and scope assessments.
Oversee projects with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness in scheduling, workforce management, material procurement, tool coordination, and reporting
Ensure safety protocols are followed during the installation, maintenance, or repair of electrical systems
Conduct thorough pre-job planning, delegate tasks, supervise, and assess workflow to enhance productivity
Lead a skilled team of electricians and assistants by setting a professional standard and providing on-the-job training
Maintain project timelines, complete time sheets, safety documentation, project evaluations, and other required reports accurately and promptly
Expertly install wiring, conduits, panel boards, fixtures, devices, pre-fabricated assemblies, boxes, and breakers in accordance with job specifications and the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Install electrical distribution and automation apparatus: switchgear, transformers, disconnects, PLC cabinets, and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
Demonstrate proficiency in circuitry relevant to the trade, including power, control, and motor terminations (single and three-phase)
Utilize hand tools and benders for conduit bending
Collaborate with project management regarding any project modifications
Execute excavations of various materials such as dirt, rock, and concrete using hand tools or power equipment
These responsibilities are not exhaustive and may evolve to align with the company’s priorities and ongoing needs.
To excel in this role, candidates must effectively fulfill each essential duty.
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, procedures, labels, and gauges
Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals, multiplication, and division, as well as utilizing measurements
Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and nonverbal)
Self-motivated with excellent organizational and prioritization skills
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations
Technical degree, 5-7 years of relevant experience, extensive mechanical aptitude, or a combination of education and experience
Preferred certifications or experience in the following areas:
Journeyman or Master Electrician certification
OSHA certifications
First Aid and CPR certification
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
The employee frequently needs to stand, walk, climb, lift and carry up to 60 lbs, crawl, kneel, push, and reach; utilize hands for handling and feeling.
Work Environment:
