Role Summary:

The Electrical Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all electrical, pneumatic, and instrumentation systems within the facility. This role is crucial in ensuring cost-effective support to enhance operational efficiency while prioritizing the safety and health of personnel, environmental protection, and property safeguarding.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all tasks in alignment with Greif's financial policies and control procedures.
  • Ensure that team members are trained and adhere to Greif's Standards of Business Conduct.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans to address issues.
  • Evaluate systems and facilities to determine necessary installations, services, or repairs.
  • Supervise the electrical, pneumatic, and instrumentation functions within the facility.
  • Implement effective safety and housekeeping programs, including lockout procedures.
  • Collaborate with leadership to enforce safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams, piping layouts, and instrumentation drawings.
  • Apply knowledge of electronic, pneumatic, and piping systems, as well as electrical codes and material properties.
  • Plan and detail working procedures to resolve repair challenges.
  • Support the professional development of team members through ongoing education and training.
  • Communicate effectively with the E&I department, production teams, and management to align on mill objectives and priority projects.
  • Provide electrical services for new installations or modifications to existing systems.
  • Maintain organized records of electrical and instrumentation files for easy access.
  • Identify potential issues and equipment failures, making recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Ensure an adequate inventory of critical spare parts to minimize operational disruptions.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing setting.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Adhere to Greif's Standards of Business Conduct.
  • Exhibit strong troubleshooting abilities to resolve equipment and process challenges.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
