Job Summary

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for administering the daily functions of the Human Resources department, including pay, benefits, and leave, as well as enforcing company policies and practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
  • Assist with the payroll cycle.
  • Research immigration laws and policies to determine the best pathways for immigration needs.
  • Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date on trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least 1-3 years of human resource management experience preferred.
