About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Audit Associate, Employee Benefit Plans to join our dynamic team at Aprio. As a key member of our assurance team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform audits with accuracy and skill, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and review audit work papers, adjusting trial balances as necessary.
  • Utilize effective time management to plan and schedule client engagements, ensuring timely completion.
  • Assemble trial balances and compile financial statements into a written report for presentation to clients.
  • Communicate the accuracy of financial statements and other financial information to clients and colleagues, fostering strong relationships.
  • Travel to client sites as required, building trust and rapport with clients.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on assurance services.
  • 1+ year of experience in Employee Benefit Plan audits, preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
  • Master's degree in Accounting or equivalent, preferred.
  • CPA certification, preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with audit software, such as CaseWare.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
