POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves collaborating with the Membership and Field Services Departments to enhance sales activities within the Agricultural Products Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales growth in the Agricultural Products Division through direct dealer recruitment and customer engagement.
  • Demonstrate a strong enthusiasm for sales and develop innovative solutions tailored for members and clients.
  • Promote products and initiatives to boost member engagement and sales performance.
  • Establish, train, and support Farm Bureau dealers within designated territories.
  • Provide recommendations and assist in the overall management of the products program.
  • Manage warranty adjustments in accordance with company policies.
  • Suggest new products for inventory enhancement.
  • Conduct training sessions for dealer customers on product usage and applications.
  • Assist in the collection of overdue accounts from assigned dealers.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows and events.
  • Coordinate with billing personnel to ensure precise invoicing.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with members and dealers.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Collaborate with various departments and advisory committees.
  • Organize displays and exhibits at regional and state events.
  • Coordinate activities with local Farm Bureaus as necessary.
  • Review and provide input on program budgets with the department director.
  • Participate in evening and weekend events as required.
  • Attend staff meetings and conference calls related to products.
  • Support state Farm Bureau meetings as assigned.
  • Provide regular updates to the Director of the Products Division.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by department leadership.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Prior experience in sales or marketing is essential.

MINIMUM SKILL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated ability in leadership development, organizational maintenance, and marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of the agricultural industry and relevant networks.
  • High initiative and self-motivation.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong presentation skills, comfortable addressing groups of various sizes.
  • Proficient in written communication and MS Office applications.
  • Dependable in attendance, punctuality, and meeting deadlines.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Possess a positive attitude and outstanding leadership qualities.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Physical ability to lift 70-80 pounds.
  • Capability to engage with diverse interest groups.
  • Flexibility, resourcefulness, and a high-energy approach are vital.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in tires, batteries, or agricultural products.
  • Experience in agricultural product sales.
  • Previous outside sales experience.
