Job Description
The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a dynamic organization dedicated to advancing the profession of architecture and improving the built environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Content Director to join our team and drive our digital content strategy forward.

About the Position
This full-time position will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive digital content strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and content pillars. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the architecture industry and its audience, as well as exceptional leadership and team management skills. With a focus on driving engagement, fostering strong industry relationships, and promoting revenue growth, this role will be integral to the success of AIA's digital presence.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital content strategy that supports the organization's goals and content pillars
- Create and manage an annual content calendar with storytelling themes that drive engagement and brand awareness
- Identify content opportunities and develop innovative ideas to enhance the member experience
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the Senior Manager of Social Media and the Editor, AIA Architect
- Foster a collaborative and creative environment to ensure high-quality content production

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital publishing, with proven leadership in a content management role
- Strong understanding of the architecture industry and its audience
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans
- Proficiency in using content management systems and social media platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage and inspire diverse teams

Salary Range
$90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
