Position:

Mid-Level SIGINT Enterprise Systems Engineer

KBR is in search of a Mid-Level SIGINT Enterprise Systems Engineer to assist our client in delivering essential capabilities that facilitate the planning and execution of intelligence-gathering operations from overhead systems. This role involves transforming the collected data into actionable information for distribution to Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.

The selected candidate will concentrate on SIGINT mission evaluations, capability specifications, generation of Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), and collaboration with Mission Partners. The engineer will support client acquisitions by employing agile methodologies to outline capability roadmaps, develop Solution Epics, and prioritize developer backlogs in accordance with capability delivery timelines. Furthermore, the candidate will advocate for agile software development best practices, coordinate CONOPS and architectural products, translate requirements into actionable features, evaluate system schedules and risks, lead readiness and release planning activities, and support agile testing and DevOps verification strategies while integrating new systems and initiatives to enhance SIGINT mission capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate agile and systems engineering processes to enhance efficiencies and support mission strategy development across various ground organizations.
  • Engage daily with the client and supporting contractors, adhering to customer standards and processes as the program evolves.
  • Interact with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) to provide technical consultation, coordinate meetings, and assist in preparing recommendation briefing packages.
  • Possess a solid understanding of the intelligence community and the client's domain, with a strong emphasis on core systems engineering processes to support comprehensive mission and service closure.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree with several years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 5-8 years of experience, or a PhD with 5+ years of experience.
  • Familiarity with SIGINT remote sensing systems and the overall architecture of space and ground systems, including mission control and processing functions.
  • Experience in providing domain knowledge throughout all phases of the acquisition lifecycle for satellite ground system acquisitions, with a particular focus on Digital Engineering and Data Engineering.
  • Integration and closure experience within the overall client domain.
  • Knowledge of the client's mission capabilities, including SIGINT and Multi-INT domains, and the overarching architecture of space and ground systems.
  • Experience in analyzing mission technical capabilities and system performance.
  • Ability to identify user needs and gaps, propose potential solutions, and evaluate alternatives.
  • Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to facilitate End-to-End Systems Engineering.
  • Commitment to understanding and effectively operating within various lines of authority in SETA, FFRDC, and Government contexts.
  • Ability to work for specific IC clients and familiarity with their processes and organizational structures.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Scaled Agile Frameworks for Enterprise (SAFE) Agile methodology.
