Position:

Mid-Level SIGINT Enterprise Systems Engineer

KBR is looking for a Mid-Level SIGINT Enterprise Systems Engineer to assist our client in delivering essential capabilities that facilitate the planning and execution of intelligence-gathering operations from overhead systems. This role involves processing the collected data into actionable insights for the Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) users.

The selected candidate will concentrate on SIGINT mission evaluations, capability specifications, and the generation of Concept of Operations (CONOPS), while also engaging with Mission Partners. The role includes supporting customer acquisitions by applying agile methodologies to outline capability roadmaps, generate Solution Epics, and prioritize developer backlogs in line with capability deliveries. The candidate will also advocate for agile software development best practices, coordinating CONOPS and architectural products, translating requirements into actionable features, evaluating system schedules and risks, leading readiness and release planning events, and supporting agile testing and DevOps verification strategies for the integration of new systems and initiatives aimed at enhancing SIGINT mission capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate agile and systems engineering processes to create efficiencies and support the development of system and mission strategies across various ground organizations.
  • Engage daily with the client and supporting contractors, adhering to client standards and processes as the program evolves.
  • Collaborate with multiple Acquisition Offices (AOs) to provide technical consultation, coordinate meetings, and assist in preparing recommendation briefing packages.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the intelligence community and client domain, with a strong emphasis on core systems engineering processes to support end-to-end mission and service completion.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of experience with a BS/BA, 5-8 years with an MS/MA, or 5+ years with a PhD.
  • Familiarity with SIGINT remote sensing systems and the overall architecture of space and ground systems, including mission control and processing functions.
  • Experience providing domain knowledge and expertise throughout all phases of the satellite ground system acquisition lifecycle, with a special focus on Digital Engineering and Data Engineering.
  • Integration and closure experience within the overall client domain.
  • Knowledge of the client's mission capabilities, including SIGINT and Multi-INT domains, and the overall architecture of space and ground systems.
  • Experience in assessing mission technical capabilities and system performance.
  • Ability to identify user needs and gaps, propose potential solutions, and analyze alternatives.
  • Experience in supporting Requirements Engineering, CONOPS development, and system integration to facilitate End-to-End Systems Engineering.
  • Commitment to recognizing, understanding, respecting, and effectively operating within various lines of authority including SETA, FFRDC, and Government.
  • Ability to work for specific IC clients and familiarity with their processes and organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of and experience with Scaled Agile Frameworks for Enterprise (SAFE) Agile methodology.
