A. ROLE SUMMARY
The Healthcare Recruiter serves as the vital connection between All American Home Care and prospective candidates within the healthcare sector.
With a background in recruitment, the individual will undertake responsibilities such as conducting interviews, evaluating resumes, and ensuring that the organization is matched with candidates who can effectively meet the needs of both the employer and the organization.
The Healthcare Recruiter is also tasked with completing all necessary documentation to establish employee files and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in accordance with Human Resource protocols.
The role involves tracking to confirm that all required documentation has been submitted to the Human Resources Department following the completion of initial and annual competencies and training.
B. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Regularly responsible for advertising and recruiting staff for open positions.
- Screen potential candidates through face-to-face interviews, conduct criminal background checks, perform drug testing, verify licenses and credentials, and complete reference checks.
- Ensure all employees meet medical prerequisites for employment prior to assignment, including TB testing, Hepatitis B declination, drug screening, and flu vaccination.
- Compile personnel and medical files for new hires and forward them to HR for record-keeping.
- Analyze organizational goals and collaborate with management to identify recruitment needs.
- Attract candidates through job postings, online forums, and job boards.
- Recommend policies and practices, oversee job offers and compensation, and highlight benefits to enhance the organization's appeal.
- Identify alternative sourcing methods such as cold calling, referral recruiting, and leveraging social media.
- Verify candidate references to ensure the authenticity of skills and experience.
- Negotiate offers with selected candidates and secure approval from the recruiting manager.
- Research and participate in job fairs, conferences, and recruitment events.
- Locate healthcare professionals through various channels, including online searches, referrals, nursing schools, and job fairs.
- Assess candidate resumes against job specifications.
- Facilitate the hiring process, including interviewing and screening candidates.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community services, educational institutions, employment agencies, and other recruitment sources.
- Update job descriptions and specifications as necessary.
- Onboard new employees to ensure full integration into the organization.
- Act as a liaison and foster strong relationships with candidates throughout the selection process.
- Promote the reputation of All American Home Care.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Must maintain a professional demeanor and effectively communicate with consumers, caregivers, colleagues, supervisors, and all other stakeholders.
- Exhibit optimism, enthusiasm, and a collaborative spirit while working with agency team members, demonstrating concern for the well-being of both consumers and employees.
- This position requires the Recruiter to spend the majority of time seated at a desk in an office environment.
- Visual and auditory capabilities must be sufficient to comprehend written and verbal communications.
- Finger dexterity is necessary for operating a computer keyboard.
- Ability to manage stress effectively is essential.
- Strong telephone communication skills are required.
- Education: A high school diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a recruiting or scheduling role is preferred but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and effective communication skills are necessary. The ability to work independently with sound judgment, multitask, and follow through in a fast-paced environment is essential. Prior experience in staffing and recruitment is advantageous.
