Qualifications and Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Specialist II, you will:

  • Exhibit clinical expertise in maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Prepare and provide necessary equipment and supplies based on procedures and physician requirements.
  • Assist physicians during specific procedures with a high level of clinical proficiency.
  • Focus on cost containment while ensuring quality patient care.
  • Participate in on-call duties and demonstrate flexibility in staffing coverage.
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the department by performing various functions within the Cath Lab and Holding Area.
  • Analyze relevant data, communicate findings, and document information accurately.
  • Actively seek opportunities for improving patient care and departmental processes.
  • Pursue professional development through continuing education and training.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, supporting the hospital's mission.
  • Maintain a safe working environment, including radiation safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and other departments.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
Required Qualifications:

- CVS Level TWO certification.

Experience:

- Minimum of three years of experience in a cath lab setting as an allied health care professional or CVS 1.

Education:

- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association (AHA) is required, along with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 180 days of employment.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, day shift (weekdays only).
