Shift:Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (5x8 Hr)
Guaranteed Hours:40 Hours per week
Experience:Minimum 2 years of RN experience; 2 years of medicine experience
License:Valid RN license
Must-Have:- EPIC experience highly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mt. Sinai Hospital. As an Employee Health RN, you will be responsible for delivering patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care.
You will assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills in patient care management. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the care plan.
You will educate patients and caregivers about their care plan, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
You will consider patient values, preferences, cultural diversity, and expressed needs in all aspects of care. You will establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family.
You will use evidence-based practices to increase understanding of patients' perceptions of care.
You will practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
You will implement process improvement strategies based on institutional, evidence-based procedures.
You will utilize information technology by documenting nursing practice to support quality and performance improvement.
Operations:You will perform charge nurse duties as assigned. You will coordinate with nursing management to ensure appropriate utilization of supplies and sufficient inventory for patient care.
You will demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective approaches to care concerning equipment, staff, supplies, and other resources.
Professional Development:You will contribute to the environment of care to support clinical colleagues, patients, and healthcare team members.
You will advance clinical competence in nursing practice to progress from novice to expert.
You will encourage and demonstrate a spirit of scholarship, inquiry, lifelong learning, and innovation for self and others.
Education Requirement:Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred.
Associate degree in nursing is considered only with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
Languages:Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
