Epileptologist Opportunity at Mount Sinai Health System

The Mount Sinai Health System is committed to providing exceptional care to individuals with diverse backgrounds and socioeconomic status. We are seeking an Epileptologist to join our Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai West and Mount Sinai Hospital.
The successful candidate will be appointed as an Assistant Professor (or higher, commensurate with experience) and will have the opportunity to partner with world-renowned faculty at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (ISMMS).
The Department of Neurology at Mount Sinai is strongly committed to caring for the whole patient and places special emphasis on providing patient-centered care. We pursue an integrative approach to patient care, research, and education, considering them inseparable elements of the art and science of medicine.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in clinical activities within the Mount Sinai Health System epilepsy division at one or more of our six integrated system hospitals, including the inpatient epilepsy monitor unit services, epilepsy inpatient consults, and reading EEGs for outpatients and inpatients throughout the system.
Responsibilities will include:
- Participating in clinical activities within the Mount Sinai Health System epilepsy division
- Reading EEGs for outpatients and inpatients throughout the system
- Teaching residents and fellows
Qualifications include:
- Medical Degree from an Accredited University
- New York Medical License
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurology
- Completed ACGME-fellowship training in Epilepsy or Neurophysiology, EEG track
The compensation range for an Assistant Professor is $240,000 to $300,000, for an Associate Professor is $270,000 to $350,000, and for a Professor is $300,000 to $400,000. Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications.
Mt Sinai Health System provides a salary range to comply with the New York City law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialties, historical productivity, historical collections, and hospital/community need.
