Position Overview

Location: Remote/Hybrid

Role: Labor and Employment Counsel

Position Summary: Trueline is seeking a knowledgeable Labor and Employment Counsel to enhance our esteemed labor and employment division. The ideal candidate will deliver thorough legal guidance and support to our corporate clientele on a variety of employment and labor relations topics. Candidates must hold a valid license in at least one state.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Offer legal insights and counsel on employment and labor relations issues.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft briefs, pleadings, and policy documents.
  • Investigate allegations of misconduct and formulate responses to charges.
  • Represent clients in legal proceedings, traditional labor law matters, and administrative hearings.
  • Participate in collective bargaining, union organizing, grievance arbitration, and related activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 years of experience in employment law, encompassing both advisory and litigation roles.
  • Strong academic background.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing skills.
  • Excellent client service capabilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in traditional labor law areas such as collective bargaining and grievance arbitration.
  • Experience with AM Law 200 firms or complex boutique firms is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in first-chair labor negotiations or school law is a significant plus.
