POSITION OVERVIEW: Gurstel is seeking entrepreneurial-minded attorneys who are looking for a refreshing alternative to conventional law practices. Candidates with a portable book of business are preferred for the role of Civil Litigation Counsel, focusing on clients in Minnesota.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft legal documents and correspondence for all phases of litigation.
  • Manage motion practice and represent clients in court as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate with clients, opposing parties, and court personnel.
  • Conduct legal research to bolster arguments and recommendations.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of account activities in accordance with policies.
  • Stay informed on legal developments through ongoing education.
  • Provide guidance to administrative staff and fulfill assigned duties.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

  • At least 5 years of litigation experience.
  • Preference for candidates with a portable book of business.
  • Must be eligible to practice law in Minnesota.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical and communication abilities.
  • Excellent time management and client interaction skills.

TRAVEL: Occasional travel to courts may be necessary.

The annual salary range for this position varies nationwide and is influenced by multiple factors. In addition to base salary, performance-based bonuses and commissions are also available. Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
