Job Summary

**Metro Infectious Disease Consultants** is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented **Front Desk Receptionist** to join our team in a full-time capacity. This role is responsible for providing exceptional front desk and customer service support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Filing and organization of all scanned paperwork on a daily basis
  • Preparation and distribution of clinic schedules to physicians for the next clinic day
  • Preparation of travel charts on a weekly basis
  • Opening and distributing mail on a daily basis
  • Verification of nightly on-call with the answering service
  • Printing and verification of schedules for the following clinic day, including progress notes and super-bills
  • Ordering of office supplies
  • Answering telephone calls, including calls to closed offices at different locations
  • Paging on consultations to physicians
  • Making appointments for new and existing patients according to set guidelines
  • Handling and processing of billing information on a daily basis
  • Handling and processing of dictation, letters, and physician orders on a daily basis
  • Registration of patients, entry and/or update of patient demographics, and making copies of vital information
  • Collection of co-payments and past due balances from patients at the check-in/check-out desk
  • Coordination and processing of referral information for managed care patients
  • Processing of medical records requests
  • Maintenance of hospital physician schedules as directed by the supervisor
  • Hospital invoicing
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One-two years of front desk and customer service experience
  • Experience in the medical field is preferred but not required
  • Proficiency in Office 365 and comfort using multiple phone lines
  • Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters
