Support Specialist

PathPoint is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our Independent Living Services team in Santa Barbara, CA. As a Support Specialist, you will work one-on-one with individuals in their homes, teaching them essential life skills and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach skills that enable individuals to live independently, including cooking, grocery shopping, healthy living, and budgeting.
- Document hours of service provided and progress toward established goals.
- Collaborate with individuals, family members, social workers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support.
Requirements:
- Prior experience supporting individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required.
- Patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills are essential.
- A valid California driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required.
What We Offer:
- A competitive hourly rate of $22.50, with a starting wage of $22.80 for bilingual staff.
