About the Role

FPA is actively seeking a Transportation Project Lead for our team. The selected candidate will oversee design initiatives for a range of transportation projects, including highway renovations, safety enhancements, intersection upgrades, and pedestrian pathways.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare design documentation for various transportation improvement projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation software.
  • Provide necessary construction support services.
  • Complete tasks independently with minimal oversight.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the transportation division and across other disciplines on larger projects.
  • Delegate responsibilities to junior engineers and supervise their work.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and staffing requirements.
  • Engage in client communications and interactions.
  • Assist Regional and Department management with proposals and business development as required.

Desired Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation design software.
  • Experience managing and designing roadway, traffic, and/or bridge improvement projects.
  • Familiarity with local and national design standards.
  • Knowledge of traffic engineering principles is advantageous.
  • Willingness to represent FPA at professional organizations and technical conferences.
