Position Overview
Utilizes extensive expertise in accounting principles and methodologies to execute a variety of intricate accounting tasks within the designated area.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze comprehensive financial statements and reports for executive review.
- Aid in the formulation of financial statements, including intercompany consolidations, eliminations, and supplementary schedules.
- Prepare schedules for and evaluate audited financial statements.
- Contribute to the creation of financial statements and reports.
- Engage in the design, implementation, and enhancement of accounting systems to boost operational and reporting efficiencies.
- Generate reports and conduct detailed analyses of revenue, cost of goods sold, and expense outcomes.

- Record transactions and prepare schedules in adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

- Maintain, audit, and document internal financial and accounting controls.
- Oversee the general ledger, prepare reconciliations, and monthly journal entries.
- Act as a department leader and provide guidance to accounting personnel and internal department heads.
- Evaluate current accounting operations and controls, recommend enhancements, and implement new workflow processes.
- Execute various additional tasks as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- High-level technical accounting proficiency.
- Capability to research technical accounting inquiries and offer recommendations based on findings.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Strong understanding of GAAP reporting, with experience in IFRS reporting and conversion preferred.
- Solid skill set in operational accounting and the ability to analyze costing and overhead application results.
- Proficient in reporting software and possess advanced knowledge of ERP systems.
- Strong command of Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Mastery of the financial statement closing process, accruals, and intercompany consolidations.
- Familiarity with revenue accounting under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842/IFRS 16.
- Skill in effective organization and the ability to manage daily, monthly, and yearly tasks and projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with all levels of staff and management.
- Analytical thinking skills and the ability to make sound judgments based on analysis.
- Capacity to perform detailed accounting tasks with precision and accuracy.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
- A minimum of four years of experience in a professional accounting role.
- Experience in public accounting is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Core pay range:
$80,000 - $90,000

Tolmar's compensation programs emphasize equitable and fair pay practices, including market-based base pay and a robust benefits package. The final compensation offered may vary based on the selected candidate's qualifications and experience.
