Your Role
We are seeking a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in developing environmental documentation in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing a variety of planning and permitting initiatives across diverse geographic areas, particularly in the southwestern United States.
- Engaging with clients, regulatory agencies, and local authorities to facilitate the NEPA planning process.
- Overseeing project budgets, schedules, and personnel assignments to ensure successful project execution.
- Leading the creation of comprehensive NEPA documentation, including Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs), and Categorical Exclusions (CEs).
- Contributing to proposal development and marketing strategies.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you should possess:
- A deep understanding of environmental impact analysis methodologies and NEPA regulations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects effectively, even under pressure.
- A collaborative approach to problem-solving with stakeholders and team members.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Education and Experience
A Bachelor’s degree in planning or a related environmental field is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is essential, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in NEPA analysis and permitting.
