Overview:


Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a seasoned Lead Environmental Project Coordinator to join our Environmental Department. This role will leverage both leadership and engineering expertise to oversee various projects while mentoring support personnel.

The Lead Environmental Project Coordinator will be accountable for project oversight, leadership, profitability, and client relations for the project design team, which includes:

financial performance, crafting technical proposals and invoices, monitoring project budgets, supervising staff, scheduling key initiatives, and managing the design responsibilities associated with Environmental engineering projects.

This position involves collaboration with existing office personnel and senior management to ensure successful project completion within set budgets and timelines.

Responsibilities:
Exhibit a thorough understanding of CED's overarching business models and the relevant discipline business model, including project revenue/profitability, liabilities, etc.

Demonstrate the capability to merge advanced business acumen with recognized relationship management skills for ongoing business development.

Showcase advanced project planning and development abilities for various projects, programs, and teams, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, etc.

Encourage and uphold practices and behaviors in line with applicable laws, rules, and regulations governing proper business conduct.

Exhibit knowledge and awareness to pinpoint contract and proposal language, format, and inclusions that identify risks and mitigate liabilities for CED.

Possess a comprehensive understanding of CED's Strategic Plan and Initiatives.

Communicate detailed instructional steps and direction to team members effectively.

Collaborate with clients and contractors to ensure proper execution of project deliverables.

Provide constructive feedback for employee development.

Exhibit advanced project planning and development skills for various projects, programs, and teams, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, etc.

Enforce compliance with CED's policies, procedures, and programs.

Demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Show advanced knowledge of the multiple disciplines in which CED operates and the services provided by CED.

Exhibit innovative problem-solving skills on complex issues and multi-discipline projects.

Ensure resources are readily accessible to staff.


Utilize advanced judgment skills (formulating conclusions and taking actions that consider facts/data/experience, resources, constraints, etc.) in all areas of work (determining the need to involve others, how to communicate, etc.) i.e., professional judgment.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science (or a related field) from an accredited institution.

10+ years of professional experience leading projects and facilitating teams within the Environmental Engineering sector.

Prior experience as a Project Manager in the Consulting sector is preferred.

40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification is preferred.

8-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Supervisor Certification is beneficial.

OSHA 10-Hour Safety & Health Standards for Construction is preferred.

Willingness to undertake necessary training to meet environmental needs.

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for job-related communications and verbal instructions.

Technical writing skills are required through previous experience working with state agencies.

Willingness to travel 50% primarily within the state.
