Position Overview:

This role involves collaborating with clients to evaluate their needs and implement tailored account resolutions. You will respond to customer service inquiries in a way that enhances the Company's reputation. Adherence to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), regulatory standards, and company policies is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Account Management:

  • Partner with clients to establish manageable payment plans.
  • Collect necessary debit or ACH information to secure arrangements.
  • Adjust plans based on client requests.
  • Address disputes regarding accounts effectively.
  • Identify and document hardship signals during client interactions.
  • Update client account details, including contact information.
  • Generate and send required correspondence to clients regarding account transfers, payment encouragement, or settlement confirmations.
  • Log financial status and collection progress using automated systems.
  • Gather and review relevant documents pertaining to accounts.
  • Set up payment schedules and manage extensions or temporary suspensions.
  • Resolve accounts within authorized limits or gather necessary information for supervisory approval.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training.

Peer Development:

  • Provide necessary approvals for payment plans established by colleagues.
  • Assist in onboarding new hires through mentoring and sharing best practices.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and related regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Ability to complete required training programs.

Work Environment:

The work is conducted in an office setting equipped with telephones, computers, and printers. The workspace is open, featuring individual workstations. The typical noise level is moderate. This position primarily involves sedentary work, with occasional lifting of light objects and minimal standing required.
