Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Account Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing our business with international customers, managing commercial and sales activities, and supporting project teams to achieve successful product launches.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commercial and Sales Activity: Manage technical sales and commercial activity related to growing business with responsible customer(s), including quoting and negotiating.
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with decision-makers at JOEM's and related tiers to drive business growth.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop a team of Project Engineers responsible for individual programs and day-to-day communication with customers.
  • Product Development: Leverage methods to ensure that products and designs meet quality, performance, and cost expectations, and solve for customers' problems.
  • Customer Focus: Ensure the voice of the customer is clearly understood and translated into requirements, technical specifications, and actions.
  • Project Management: Apply Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) framework while overseeing the management of projects and programs, including timing and budgets.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Design, Engineering, Operations, and Quality on activities related to production process development and validation.
  • Business Development: Develop product sales forecasts, including financial performance.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel 20% of the time, with domestic and international travel required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent in-depth knowledge of.
  • Experience: 6 years of experience in program management applying APQP principles.
  • Sales Experience: Must have sales experience with automotive JOEMs, proven track record of product knowledge.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge in the plastic processing and plastic product design, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Customer Focus: Proven ability to understand customer needs, engage in proactive feedback, and recommend solutions within process capabilities.
