  • A strong aptitude for solving complex problems, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to devise innovative solutions for risk mitigation and control development using analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A process-oriented mindset with an understanding of operations and technology, enabling effective support in the analysis, development, and monitoring of controls.
  • Experience with cloud security and controls, as well as cloud technology environments (AWS/Azure, PaaS, SaaS).
  • Knowledge of industry standards, frameworks, and methodologies, such as SOC 1, SOC 2, ISO27001, HITRUST.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing for clear and concise presentation of findings.
  • A demonstrated sense of ownership, accountability, and commitment to achieving objectives.
  • The ability to foster and maintain collaborative working relationships to assist in the design and monitoring of appropriate controls.
The Value You Bring
  • Leading external auditor readiness initiatives and assessments while providing timely updates to management.
  • Coordinating audit cycles with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
  • Facilitating requests from external auditors and ensuring timely completion.
  • Conducting technology risk assessments and developing control strategies, including documenting controls, identifying potential gaps, and making sound recommendations for improvements.
  • Providing technical support on risk-related systems issues and acting as a liaison with technology and risk teams to track external audit findings, perform follow-ups, and consult on action plans with owners for issue resolution.
  • Assessing various information technology risks faced by the business and implementing action plans, policy changes, and procedural adjustments for risk avoidance and mitigation.
