The Senior Financial Analyst at Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island will leverage the organization's financial systems, including the general ledger, to perform revenue reconciliation and analysis. This role involves regular interaction with key stakeholders to ensure accurate member-level data alignment across various departments and external entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the precision of revenue from external sources, including state agencies and federal programs.
  • Understand and analyze new rate contracts and perform rate comparison assessments.
  • Collaborate with Enrollment to reconcile member-level data impacting revenue recognition.
  • Engage with Medical Management to ensure accurate member-level data reconciliation.
  • Act as the Revenue Lead during audits, coordinating with external auditors.
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts, entering all revenue modifications into Oracle EPM.
  • Assist in quarterly revenue reporting to state agencies and actuarial firms.
  • Compile the monthly revenue reporting package.
  • Revise and update policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Participate in and lead team projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to the organization's Corporate Compliance Program and relevant regulations.

This position is hybrid, requiring four days in the office and one day working remotely. The role involves minimal domestic travel.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related analytical discipline, along with at least one year of experience in financial analysis.

Additional Requirements: (I) Experience in finance and audit analysis, including interactions with external auditors in the healthcare or insurance sectors; (II) Proven skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance metrics; (III) Understanding of revenue flow across business lines and financial statement preparation; (IV) Proficiency in Excel, general ledger software, and analytic tools such as SQL, SAS, Tableau, or Cognos; (V) Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; (VI) Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
