Position Overview:

Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems sector is looking for a Principal Engineer - RF Sensors Electronics Support Analyst or a Senior Principal Engineer - RF Sensors Electronics Support Analyst to contribute to our qualified and diverse team in defining the future. This role will focus on subsystem requirements and architecture, reporting to an Electronic Warfare Lead within the RF Sensors & Effects sub-IPT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in model-based systems engineering utilizing Cameo and conducting analytical tasks.
  • Utilize Cameo, DOORs, and Rhapsody for writing and tracing requirements across various documentation levels.
  • Work with electromagnetics within the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands).
  • Collaborate with sensor providers and suppliers.
  • Contribute to a small team with a diverse and significant set of requirements.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should possess a background in Electronic Warfare subsystems or a robust RF design background to define, specify, trace, and model requirements for next-generation EW sensors.

Basic Qualifications:

For Principal Engineer - RF Sensors Electronics Support Analyst (T03):

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution with 5 years of relevant professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 3 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. with no experience required.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR).
  • Ability to travel 0-25%.
  • Experience with Electronics Warfare subsystems or RF design.

For Senior Principal Engineer - RF Sensors Electronics Support Analyst (T04):

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline from an accredited institution with 9 years of relevant professional/military experience in Engineering; OR a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of relevant experience; or a Ph.D. with 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance that is in-scope (granted or renewed within the last 6 years).
  • Ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR).
  • Ability to travel 0-25%.
  • Experience with Electronics Warfare subsystems or RF design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 14 years with a Bachelor's degree; 12 years with a Master's; 9 years with a PhD.
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with Cameo, DOORs, Rhapsody, and writing and tracing requirements across various levels.
  • Knowledge of electromagnetics in the RF spectrum (VHF through Ka bands).
  • Familiarity with DoDAF and system scenarios.
