Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide, coach, and mentor less experienced educators within your classroom; exemplify best practices and provide constructive feedback. Experience in lesson planning is essential.
  • Oversee the overall management of the classroom, ensuring a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning atmosphere.
  • Act as a role model, utilizing a growth mindset to nurture young learners and instill a love for education.
  • Implement our unique L.E.A.P. Curriculum, engaging with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children in a manner that aligns with the individual needs of each child.
  • Establish a secure and nurturing environment where children can engage in play and learning.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, sharing updates on their children's experiences and accomplishments through various channels, including mobile applications and personal conversations.
  • Contribute to the success of your center by collaborating with staff and leadership to meet goals related to enrollment and engagement.
  • Foster relationships with families and colleagues, creating a vibrant environment where play and learning are seamlessly integrated.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 1-3 years of professional teaching experience; a minimum of 18 months of teaching experience is required.
  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • A high school diploma is mandatory.
  • Proven understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Must comply with state-specific guidelines for the position. Level II credentials or higher are required.
  • Successful completion of State BIU/TRAILS background checks is necessary.
