Role Overview:

Preschool Education Coordinator

The Preschool Education Coordinator is responsible for designing and executing educational activities that foster the holistic development of children. This role involves creating and sustaining a secure and nurturing educational atmosphere, utilizing top-tier learning experiences to enhance the growth of each child in collaboration with their families. Adherence to all relevant performance standards and licensing requirements is essential. The coordinator will implement a mix of group and personalized learning opportunities to cultivate essential school readiness skills as outlined by the organization's action plan.

Compensation Structure:

Step 1: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field & Director Qualification (DQ) (Written Agreement to obtain a DQ if not held)

  • $2,121.79 per pay period
Step 2: Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and DQ (Written Agreement to obtain a DQ if not held)
  • $2,356.18 per pay period

Additional Benefits for Eligible Staff (25+ hours per week):

We offer paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays.
  • Paid Holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Juneteenth, Presidents Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
  • Paid Breaks include one week for Spring Break, one week for Fall Break, and two weeks for Winter Break.

Tuition Assistance is available after 90 days of employment
  • $4,000 annually for Early Childhood Education Degrees.
  • $2,500 annually for other degrees related to employment.

Qualifications:

Required:
  • Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and Colorado Department of Human Services Director Qualification. Candidates not currently qualified must agree to obtain this certification immediately.
  • Experience in early childhood education, including curriculum planning, assessment utilization, and fostering positive teacher-child interactions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
  • First Aid and CPR certification for infants, children, and adults, along with medication administration certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment physical examination, TB test, drug test, and background check.
  • Access to reliable transportation and maintenance of minimum liability insurance if using a personal vehicle.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a closely related field with 30 credits in early childhood education courses.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
