We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Durango 4C Council. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the lives of young children and supporting their social-emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive early childhood education programs that meet the needs of children aged birth through five years.
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with children, families, and colleagues to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Supervise and mentor classroom aides to ensure high-quality care and education.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement classroom functions that promote children's growth and development.
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and State regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate required; higher education degree or early childhood college coursework preferred.
- Minimum of one year of experience working in early childhood education with children aged birth through five years.
- Ability to obtain a CDA within one year of hire; Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training support.
- Criminal background check required for hire.
- Paid professional development opportunities.

This is a full-time, part-year position, working 35 hours per week from August to May. The hourly wage range is $23.71, depending on education and experience.
