Group Tour Coordinator

Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is seeking a highly motivated and organized Group Tour Coordinator to join our team. As a Group Tour Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting and executing group tours at the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. This is a unique opportunity to work with a diverse group of people and to share the rich cultural heritage of the Indian Pueblo people.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center with tour operators, destination management companies, area hotels, schools, and other audiences to promote group tours.
- Plan itineraries with external clients, offering tour suggestions based on group size and interests, while working with the internal team to ensure itineraries can be met.
- Work with the internal team to ensure tour pricing/fee schedule is current and up-to-date based on current costs.
- Coordinate internal requirements for the tour, including center-wide communication, staffing needs, programming, and physical space, as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, inquiries, and leads with the last contact date and potential follow-up for future and/or repeat business.
- Compile statistics, gather and compute various data, and prepare special and/or one-time reports and summaries.
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of two years' experience working in the sales/reservations side of the hospitality industry, in an environment centered on exceptional customer service.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation.
- Native American preference will be given.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to listen to customer needs, establish expectations, and hear concerns while looking for opportunities to please.
- Experience in a sales environment with the ability to upsell, develop sales opportunities, and provide customer follow-through for future business.
- Skills in customer service setting focused on building relationships, suggestive selling, and win-win negotiation.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles including pricing and invoicing.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff and the general public.
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials.
- Ability to service customers in a professional appearance and manner.
- Records maintenance skills with the ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with high standards of performance.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly is required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee occasionally is required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment:Work is generally performed in an office setting.
