Charge Nurse (RN) Job Description

Cassia is seeking a compassionate and skilled Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team at Lakeside Generations. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our residents, leading a team of nursing staff, and ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct resident care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and implementing individual care plans.
  • Lead and manage a team of nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure excellent care is delivered.
  • Manage medications, supplies, and equipment, ensuring accurate ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Implement individual care plans for residents, monitoring staff providing care and taking follow-up action as necessary.
  • Notify nurse manager, attending physician, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
  • Order lab, x-ray, ambulance, and other services as necessary.
  • Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician's orders.
  • Participate in direct resident care as needed.
  • Admit, transfer, and discharge residents according to procedures.
  • Monitor nursing personnel on duty during the assigned shift.
  • Perform additional tasks as requested.
Requirements:
  • Current MN Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
  • Strong nursing and leadership skills, with excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes and services to our residents.
