Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Project Manager who is enthusiastic about enhancing performance training for military personnel and their families. This role involves supporting the Army's Directorate of Prevention, Resilience and Readiness (DPRR) in Arlington, VA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the Government for all operational activities.
- Oversee work performance, ensuring adherence to contract specifications and maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of a proficient workforce.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure effective performance outcomes.
- Engage in meetings, conduct site assessments, and manage program metrics and training schedules.
- Support program briefings and maintain up-to-date training calendars.
- Compile reports and necessary administrative documentation as required.
Required Qualifications:
- A Master's degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Possession of a Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the Department of Defense managing Military Family Programs is essential.
- Prior military service experience is a requirement.
- Must successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 background check.
- Demonstrated skills in personnel management across multiple locations.
- Ability to conduct quality control checks and ensure compliance with training standards.
- Experience in client relationship management and excellent communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
