The COMET contract encompasses the comprehensive management and execution of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

· Execute electrical design engineering tasks to develop and enhance hardware while ensuring automation across the Ground Control System.

· Exhibit a strong understanding of industry engineering standards and demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

· Lead engineering initiatives and delegate tasks effectively within the team.

· Prepare and deliver technical presentations to stakeholders.

· Undertake additional related duties as required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in engineering or a technical equivalent from an accredited institution, with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience.

We reserve the right to consider candidates at various levels based on experience and business requirements.

Job Requirements

· At least 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering design, particularly with PLC-based distributed control systems.

· Proficient in product lifecycle systems, capable of overseeing technical evaluations and engineering reviews.

· Skilled in producing Electrical Drawings using AutoCAD, including schematics and interface control documents.

· Familiar with control panel design and integration of system-level components.

· Knowledgeable in industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP and ControlNet.

· Understanding of industry design standards such as UL508A and NFPA 70.

· Familiar with safety regulations for electrical control panels in hazardous locations.

· Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is advantageous.

· Capable of creating and delivering technical presentations to various audiences.

· Demonstrated ability to lead design initiatives and facilitate communication across teams.

· Mentor and develop team members.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

· May require climbing to access equipment for troubleshooting.

· Must adhere to safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment.

· Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.

· Work may be conducted in both indoor and outdoor settings.

· Travel to various site locations may be necessary.

Attendance and Other Essential Functions

· Full-time work hours are expected, with potential for overtime.

· Dependability and punctuality are essential.
