Chauffeur - Division of Management

The Chauffeur provides safe and efficient motor transportation for Board members and other staff conducting official Board business. This role requires a high level of reliability, independent judgment, and excellent communication and customer service skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Board vehicles to transport staff in accordance with supervisory instructions.
- Maintain Board vehicles in safe and clean operating condition, performing routine minor maintenance, service, and safety checks.
- Comply with Motor Transport operating procedures and applicable Board policies and procedures.
- Provide assistance to other areas of Facility Services as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent experience. Must possess three years specialized experience. Requires possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license and an excellent driving record. Must have a thorough knowledge of the Washington metropolitan area, including principal US government buildings, hotels, and transportation facilities. Must be able to follow relevant safety regulations and prevailing laws governing motor vehicle operation and ensure that passengers follow safety regulations.
Work Environment
This position requires an onsite presence in Washington DC. May be exposed to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas, and/or fumes. Must be able to sit, talk, and listen for long periods of time, read, speak, write, and communicate effectively, and have good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
