Senior Propulsion Engineer

A.i. Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Propulsion Engineer to join our team supporting the NASA Launch Service Program at Kennedy Space Center. The successful candidate will be assigned to the Vehicle Engineering and Analysis (VE&A) department, where they will perform tasks related to commercial launch vehicle systems and support our NASA customer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert insight into launch vehicle propulsion systems throughout the product lifecycle, including production, test, integration, flight, and maintenance/refurbishment.
  • Lead technical assessments of component or system design or test sequence changes, nonconformances, risks, and test or flight anomalies, coordinating with other engineering disciplines as necessary.
  • Support and/or present technical assessments or analysis results at Launch Vehicle mission reviews and Engineering Review Boards.
  • Act as primary liaison between the NASA customer and the launch vehicle provider.
  • Perform post-flight data reviews and support resolution of any identified issues.
  • Provide certification support for new launch service providers/launch vehicles.
  • Support process improvement activities to advance team efficiency.
  • Ability to quickly connect in-person and in writing, and to actively listen and perceive the needs, values or opinions of others.
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision, and as part of a team.
  • Travel occasionally as required
