Job Summary

Bridgewell is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 1 to join our team. As a Residential Program Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with developmental and psychiatric disabilities in our Level 1 residential programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support and assistance to individuals with skills training in activities of daily living, including personal care and hygiene.
  • Create opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence, promoting self-advocacy and self-directed living.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, and CARF, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  • Transport and accompany individuals to medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program, promoting community integration and socialization.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation, including medical, clinical, and financial records, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to MAP regulations and Bridgewell policies.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or DSP certification preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to maintain accurate and detailed documentation.
  • Valid driver's license and minimum one year of driving experience, with a clean driving record.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft products and web-based applications used by Bridgewell.
