Job Summary

Bridgewell is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to support individuals with disabilities in our Level 2 residential programs. As a key member of our team, you will provide daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living, while promoting independence and fostering a sense of community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide support and assistance with skills training in all activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  2. Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  3. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, and CARF, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  4. Provide medical, clinical, and financial support as needed, including transportation to medical appointments and recreational activities.
  5. Maintain accurate documentation and records, adhering to regulatory requirements and Bridgewell policies.
  6. Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or DSP certification preferred.
  2. Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disabilities.
  3. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  4. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
