Manufacturing Engineer

Leidos is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our Space Systems Group in Decatur, AL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating manufacturing orders, communicating with other manufacturing engineers, and ensuring the quality of our space hardware.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide manufacturing engineering aid for assembly and integration of space hardware
• Track deliverable hardware for discrepancies and NCRs
• Participate in process development to improve overall system quality control
• Create work instructions and manufacturing orders for production processes and assemblies
• Provide manufacturing engineering oversight and input during fabrication and assembly
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Minimum 2 years of work history in a manufacturing environment
• Familiarity with AS9100 and Quality Assurance and Quality Control industry best practices
Preferred Qualifications
• Work history with composite manufacturing and post layup processing of composite structures
• Experience with Costpoint, Solumina, or SAP
• Creative problem-solving skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams
