Job Summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee two or more classrooms and promote a positive atmosphere in our school sites. As a key member of our team, you will provide supervision of teaching staff, ensure implementation of the program curriculum, and work cooperatively with all staff members to provide high-quality services to our children and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure implementation of the program curriculum for children enrolled in services, including individual and group activities to stimulate learning and promote parent involvement.
  • Review end-of-the-month paperwork for accuracy and ensure timely submission of monthly paperwork and reports.
  • Oversee the physical environment to ensure compliance with state and local licensing requirements and the health and safety needs of the children.
  • Support home visitors on-site with planning and guidance based on individual family needs.
Requirements
  • BA in ECE/CD or closely related field.
  • Child Development Permit.
  • Site Supervisor Child Development Permit (or in progress).
  • 24 CD units of ECE/CD.
  • 2 years of teaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Management coursework.
  • 1 year of supervisor experience.
  • 4 years of teaching experience.
  • Head Start performance standards.
  • Creative curriculum.
  • Licensing regulations.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish (written and verbal).
