Training and Education Specialist

DocGo is seeking a highly skilled Training and Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering training programs for all levels of care. Your expertise will help ensure that our clinicians maintain the highest level of certification, licensure, and accreditation.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct orientation sessions for newly hired employees
- Plan and coordinate all training programs for all levels of care
- Plan and deliver training on procedures for verbal and written reports and records on the observation and care of patients
- Train personnel in determining the differential diagnosis of injuries and illnesses, development of treatment plans, and documentation
- Conduct research/development and training on the use of medical equipment
- Ride alongside field personnel to evaluate crews on their medical skills and procedures
- Assist in developing the budget by recommending supplies, materials, and training opportunities
- Attend meetings and prepare reports as requested
- Ensure that clinicians maintain certifications, licenses, accreditations, and are performing required patient care benchmark skills
- Establish and maintain documents relative to training, information guides, and procedures
- Assist in development of CQI Indicators and conducting CQI inquiries on field incidents
- Develop lesson plans using standardized software programs and conduct multiple repetitive courses during a training cycle
- Provide shift coverage, vacation, and temporary relief as required
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience working as a State Licensed Paramedic or State Licensed Emergency Medical Technician
- Unrestricted EMT or Paramedic license from state of residence and eligible for reciprocity to NY State
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider
- If Paramedic, AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider and AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignment
- Considerable knowledge of procedures and techniques for administering medical care
- Knowledge of instructional strategies
- Skilled in developing and implementing curriculum
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or higher (preferred)
- NREMT certification (EMT or Paramedic) or obtain within 12 months of hire
- AHA BLS Instructor, or obtain within 6 months of hire
- If Paramedic, AHA ACLS Instructor and AHA PALS Instructor or obtain within 6 months of hire
- CEVO5 Instructor or obtain within 3 months of hire
- NAEMT Instructor: PHTLS (if EMT or Paramedic) and AMLS (if Paramedic) or obtain within 12 months of hire
- If Paramedic, NYC REMAC, or obtain within 6 months of hire
