Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Transitional Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. As a Transitional Kindergarten Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Lesson Plans: Create engaging and standards-based lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of our students.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a well-organized and respectful classroom environment that promotes academic achievement and social responsibility.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open lines of communication with staff, families, and the greater Alpha community to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
  • Professional Development: Participate in regular and ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay up-to-date with best practices in education.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • California Teaching Credential: A valid or eligible California teaching credential in Multiple Subject.
  • Subject Matter Knowledge: Strong subject matter knowledge and classroom management skills, or willingness to learn and develop these skills.
  • Commitment to Diversity: A commitment to working with students in traditionally underserved communities and a willingness to learn about and appreciate the diverse experiences and cultures of our scholars and their families.
