The Meridian Preschool Inc. is in search of a full-time Early Childhood Educator for children aged 2-6. This role is essential in upholding our mission to provide exceptional early childhood education and childcare services to the families we support.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Oversee and manage daily activities for a classroom of children
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental requirements
  • Collaborate with the Director to implement approved activity plans and daily schedules in line with the school's curriculum
  • Coordinate all necessary parent-teacher meetings and student assessments with the Director
  • Maintain an inviting and well-organized classroom that inspires creativity, exploration, and decision-making among children
  • Ensure that classroom bulletin boards are updated and provide parents with insights into the material covered
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep and cleanliness of the classroom, shared spaces, and outdoor areas
  • Assist with diaper changes, snacks, meals, and naptime
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings, workshops, and school events as directed by the Director
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and care regulations for children
  • Maintain a professional appearance, demeanor, and work ethic at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess ECE units or an AA degree in early childhood education or equivalent
  • 1-5 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
  • Able to engage with students of various ages and skill levels
  • Experience in an accredited early childhood facility is advantageous
  • Friendly and approachable personality
  • Highly professional and reliable
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking, and managing time effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Proficient in computer and internet usage
  • ECE units are required
