The Meridian Preschool Inc is looking for a full-time Early Childhood Educator for children aged 2-6. This role is crucial in upholding our mission to deliver exceptional early childhood education and childcare services to the families we serve.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and manage daily activities for a classroom of children
  • Continuously assess each child's developmental needs
  • Collaborate with the Director to implement approved activity plans and daily schedules
  • Coordinate parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with the Director
  • Create an engaging and well-maintained classroom that promotes creativity and exploration
  • Ensure classroom bulletin boards are current and informative for parents
  • Take responsibility for the upkeep of the classroom and shared spaces
  • Assist with diaper changes, snacks, meals, and naptime
  • Participate in all required staff meetings, workshops, and school events
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and care regulations for children
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess ECE units or an AA degree in early childhood education or equivalent
  • 1-5 years of experience in a licensed childcare facility
  • Able to engage with students of varying ages and skill levels
  • Classroom teaching experience in an accredited early childhood facility is a plus
  • Friendly demeanor and outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and reliable
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills, capable of multitasking and managing time effectively
  • Proficient in computer and internet usage
  • ECE units required
