Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Product Manager to join our team at State Affairs. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of driving successful product initiatives. Experience with mobile products and generative AI technologies is highly desirable. Familiarity with the political domain is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Strategy and Vision: Develop and execute a strategic product roadmap that aligns with the company's goals and objectives, focusing on enhancing the user experience for our political and lobbying clients.
  • Scaling Across States: Lead efforts to scale our product offering to additional states, ensuring that state-specific nuances are effectively integrated into the product. Work with cross-functional teams to manage and support state-by-state rollouts.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to deliver high-quality products on time and within scope. Act as the main point of contact between stakeholders and the product team.
  • Mobile Product Development: Lead the development and optimization of mobile products, ensuring seamless user experiences across devices. Leverage insights from mobile usage to drive product improvements.
  • Generative AI Integration: Explore and implement generative AI solutions to enhance our product offerings. Identify opportunities where AI can add value and improve user outcomes.
  • User-Centric Design: Deeply understand the needs and pain points of our users, especially those in the political domain. Translate user insights into actionable product features and enhancements.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data and analytics to inform product decisions, track performance, and measure the impact of new features and changes.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies. Use this knowledge to identify new opportunities and threats.
  • Mentorship and Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior product managers and other team members. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with a strong record of leading successful product initiatives.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with mobile product development and generative AI technologies is highly desirable.
  • Domain Expertise: Familiarity with the political or legislative domain is a significant plus.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
