Role Responsibilities

Relocation may be necessary for this position.

This role is accountable for ensuring timely and effective service delivery to our clientele, maintaining a satisfactory level of profitability for the organization, and efficiently utilizing the workforce in alignment with client specifications.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and implementing training and safety initiatives
  • Setting and achieving production and financial targets
  • Organizing plant personnel schedules
  • Maintaining open communication with clients to assess their needs and required services
  • Creating a financial strategy that aligns with company and plant objectives, including a Capital Budget
  • Enforcing company policies and addressing violations appropriately
  • Managing plant procurement, maintenance, and repair operations
  • Supervising all workforce activities and overseeing daily plant operations, including direct and indirect management of all personnel
Candidate Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • An Associate Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical institution
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing setting with a strong emphasis on materials management, production, or engineering
  • Prior experience in purchasing, production, inventory management, and engineering, along with shipping, receiving, and warehousing
  • Three to five years of experience in staff management
  • Previous accountability for Profit and Loss
  • Working knowledge of contract management and safety/environmental compliance

Top candidates will also possess:

  • A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Experience in manufacturing, particularly within the steel industry or similar environments
  • A proven history of enhancing safety performance and achieving safety goals
  • Strong communication and leadership capabilities
