About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Sales Team Lead to join our team at Daiso USA. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership
    • Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
    • Schedule and assign tasks to team members, ensuring efficient store operations and meeting sales targets.
    • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
    • Assist in training new sales associates and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Customer Service
    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing a personalized shopping experience.
    • Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers, ensuring they find the products they need.
    • Resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly and escalate when necessary.
    • Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring merchandise is properly displayed.
  • Sales and Target Achievement
    • Drive sales by actively engaging with customers and promoting products, meeting or exceeding individual and team sales targets.
    • Monitor sales trends and identify opportunities for improvement, collaborating with the store manager to develop strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management
    • Assist in receiving, organizing, and replenishing merchandise, ensuring accurate pricing and labeling of products.
    • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist in stock management, ensuring the store is well-stocked and merchandise is properly displayed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in retail management is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a retail sales role, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
