Investment Relations Specialist

Inversion Summits is a specialized investment summit organization that hosts exclusive events throughout the year for professionals in the alternatives sector.
The Investment Relations Specialist will join the Inversion Summits team, providing direct support to the CEO, Director of Investor Relations, and Senior IR Associate. This role involves identifying potential attendees, conducting thorough due diligence on investment managers, and nurturing relationships with both current and prospective investment managers and limited partners (LPs). The Investment Relations Specialist will gain exposure to a diverse array of general partners (GPs) and LPs across various asset classes, including public and private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and real assets.
We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical individual who has a passion for researching and understanding alternative investments. This candidate should excel in relationship-building and feel comfortable engaging with managers across different asset classes.
This position is fully remote; however, attendance at each of our annual summits is required. Candidates must be willing to travel internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, source, and assess current and potential investment managers across various asset classes
- Analyze manager reports, presentations, and factsheets to evaluate compatibility with Inversion Summits
- Engage in meetings with investment managers and LPs
- Compile periodic performance reports and assessments on managers
- Conduct additional research and analysis to gain insights into underlying manager strategies and portfolios
- Perform both quantitative and qualitative evaluations of prospective fund managers and their portfolios
- Establish and maintain relationships with institutional LPs and managers to stay updated on investment trends and opportunities
- Carry out other related tasks as necessary
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in investment management, investment banking, or a similar field
- Preferred experience as an investment analyst at a family office, endowment, foundation, fund of funds, or OCIO
Required Skills:
- Fluency in investment and finance terminology
- Familiarity with commonly utilized financial products, capital markets, and asset classes
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- A personable individual who enjoys building relationships and can easily remember names and faces
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Must cultivate and maintain relationships with institutional LPs and managers to remain informed on investment trends and identify compelling opportunities
- Perform other related duties as required
